In these terms above–eternal life, ‘saved’, ‘born again’–we have yet another truth hidden beneath satanic deceptions blanketing the Christian Church. Knowing this truth or being ignorant of it may mean the difference between life and spiritual death.
In some denominations, particularly the Pentecostal churches, they are said to be ‘saved’ and ‘born again’. But the Bible gives no evidence of this being so. Yahshua said to Nicodemus, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of YHWH” (JOHN 3:3), not that he is born again at conversion. A case in point for this is Nicodemus himself who had been a believer all his life, but was obviously not born again. At the time where a believer has newly entered their Christian walk, they have gained eternal or everlasting life and are redeemed. And even this redemption must be claimed. If a Christian believes they are already ‘saved’, they will not bother to properly claim redemption, so it is seldom carried out in many churches. How many useless and fruitless prayers are said over the sick and demonically possessed without first examining the matter under the light of the Holy Spirit? And without first determining YHWH’s will?
As new Christians we receive eternal life. If we do nothing more, we will live after the thousand-year Messianic reign of peace on Earth. Our sinful, carnal nature must be dealt with or we will continue living a sinful, carnal life. If we fail to appropriately deal with our carnal nature during our Christian walk on Earth, then it will be purged off us in the burning fires of Hell. The burning off of this dross while we yet live is described as a baptism of fire. Many Scriptures pertain to this:
MATTHEW 3:10-12 And now the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth forth not good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire…He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
I CORINTHIANS 3:1, 3, 13-15 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Messiah… For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, for it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall declare every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss (in Hell): but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire(s of Hell).
Yahshua describes the lukewarm Christians in the current Laodicean Church Age as wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. Unless we recognize our straitened circumstances as He did, we can expect to experience the fires of Hell for one thousand years. Yahshua’s submission to death on the cross was His rebirth, just as a baby is straitened coming out through the birth canal. We must do nothing less than submit to the painful process of dying also. This was His baptism and it is ours also.
Salvation, as compared with eternal life attained at conversion, is dependent upon being wholly redeemed, sanctified, and dead to self. In past posts I have talked about from what we are redeemed. Now we must determine from what we are saved.
I PETER 3:20-21 …when once the longsuffering of YHWH waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward YHWH) by the resurrection of Yahshua Messiah;
What was Noah and his family saved from? The flood? No. The Scripture says the water, that is the flood, DID the saving here. So what then WERE they saved from? What was happening back on the ground that the rest of mankind failed to be saved from? The judgment of YHWH on the sinful world! They were saved from no less than YHWH’s judgment on sin which there always ultimately must be, though YHWH waits…and waits…suffering the sin…for men to repent so He may give them mercy instead of punishment.
The water of the flood separated Noah and his family from the world throughout the duration of YHWH’s judgment. By believing YHWH’s instruction and obeying it, they were saved. Just being baptised in water does not do it. Yahshua had two baptisms and so must we. His baptism in the Jordan River signified OUR cleansing from sin (committed before conversion) – for He needed not to be cleansed. It was a picture for us. His baptism on the cross was one of separation from the world, perhaps–even as required of Him–to the extent of being obedient unto death. For the world and its system is under judgment. It is ruled by Satan.
This system will culminate in the New World Order with a One World Government. If you fail to separate from this system prior to its culmination, you will have little choice but to capitulate to its rules. Inherent in this is accepting Satan as your ruler and receiving his mark to signify that choice, or else suffer and die by beheading. Whatever road you choose is death. But Satan’s way leads to the second death. Why not die YaH’s Way, as did Yahshua, before it is too late?
The second death and all the horrifying events to come upon the world, as depicted in the book of REVELATION and elsewhere, are YHWH’s judgment on the satanic world system. For a believer to be saved, he must be separated from the wrath of this judgment. Therefore, he must separate himself from the things of the world and all dependence upon its system.
I JOHN 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. MATTHEW 6:33 But seek ye first the Kingdom of YHWH, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
