Having looked at the opening of the first four seals of the Book of REVELATION, and before further exploring that book, a brief explanation of the judgments therein will help us. As I was writing my book, In Spirit and in Truth, there were many details in Scripture I didn’t understand. I had to seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit, and do thorough research every day that I wrote.
If you are in any way familiar with REVELATION, you will know there are:
- trumpets, and
- vials, or plagues in blocks of seven.
I also read or listen to the Bible a lot, every day if possible. One day while reading LEVITICUS 26 about the curses for disobedience, I noticed FOUR times the following fateful promise from our loving but righteous and just Father YHWH Almighty: And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto Me, then I will punish you SEVEN TIMES more for your sins (LEV. 26:18); And if ye walk contrary unto Me, and will not hearken unto Me; I will bring SEVEN TIMES more plagues upon you according to your sins (LEV. 26:21).; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet SEVEN TIMES for your sins (LEV. 26:24); Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you SEVEN TIMES for your sins (LEV. 26:28).
At first I only saw it written three times, and connected it to the seal, trumpet, and plague judgments of REVELATION 6, 8, 9, and 16. Later I found it written FOUR times, so went searching for a fourth set of judgments in REVELATION. It was not hard to find, in chapter 10: the seven THUNDERS. THE reason these are often overlooked is because when the seven thunders uttered their voices, as John was about to write what they wrote, a voice from Heaven told him to Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not (REV. 10:4). How interesting. Seven judgments to come upon the earth but we won’t know what they are until, at the latest, the time they occur.
A study of the Scriptures shows us YHWH thunders from Heaven for about seven reasons:
- To promote fear and respect for Himself (EX. 9:28, 20:18-19);
- To confirm that Yahshua and His people represent Him (JOHN 12:29-30);
- To show the earth is His (EX. 9:29);
- As an instrument of judgment to break His adversaries to pieces (I SAM. 2:10);
- To answer the call of His people, rescue them, and rout their enemies (II SAM. 22:14, PSA. 18:13);
- To show His pleasure (REV. 14:2), or displeasure (PSA. 78:19-22, 48);
- To reveal His glory and majesty (JOB 37:4-5, PSA. 29:3-4).
So we have these four sets of judgments coming upon the earth because, down through the ages since LEVITICUS 26 was given to Moses, mankind has refused to repent and obey YHWH. And the time in which we live now is apparently the most evil time in history, with the Church wretched, miserable, poor blind, naked, and sickening to Him.
Then there’s at least one other mystery to be opened or revealed: that contained in the little book which John took from the angel (REV. 10:9). He was instructed to eat it. Though sweet to his mouth it was bitter to his stomach.
I do not profess to know what this bittersweet mystery is, but as we soon enter the Book of REVELATION a limited distance, there is a revelation I was taught that must be opened to a wider audience. And yes, it’s sweet to a few but bitter to most. However, the ones who receive its bitterness will not know it until we are into the final SEVEN YEARS OF TRIBULATION. For as the Israelites ultimately paid no heed to the warnings of the four times seven judgments, most will pay no heed to my warnings. After all, the Jewish part of Israel had their King, Messiah, and Saviour Himself to warn them but heeded Him not. In the AD 70 judgment on Yerushalem, according to their own Josephus the historian, they ate the flesh of their little sons and daughters, just as foretold by YHWH through Moses in LEVITICUS 26:29.
